Remnawave or Marzban

The ForestsNet bot works with both panels. Marzban works but is outdated, so we recommend Remnawave for new projects. Here is how they differ as of October 2026.

What it means for a service

  • Marzban has had no releases since January 2025. The bot works with it, and a service on Marzban does not need to move urgently, but there are no new features or fixes for the panel itself to wait for, so it is worth planning a move.
  • Remnawave ships updates several times a month. The upside is fixes and new features; the downside is that updates must be applied on time and API changes tracked.
  • PostgreSQL in Remnawave handles a growing user base more calmly than SQLite, which Marzban uses by default.
  • The HWID device limit in Remnawave stops one subscription from being shared among dozens of people.

We also maintain the Python SDK for Remnawave, and its versions follow the panel, currently 3.4.5. Open source

What the bot adds on top of the panel

The panel manages VPN servers and users. Everything about money and customers is done by the bot.

  • Subscription sales, balance, plans and renewals

  • Payments through payment systems and cryptocurrency

  • Referrals, promo codes, coupons and gifts

  • Broadcasts, analytics, an admin panel in Telegram and on the web

  • A Telegram mini app and a customer cabinet on your website

Bot features

What about WireGuard and AmneziaWG?

Supported too. The bot runs WireGuard and AmneziaWG servers through its own agent and installs it on the server itself. Different protocols can live in one bot.
